Softening System uses iron tank for softening and one exchange tank. Hard water passing through the cation resin in the exchange tank, calcium and magnesium in hard water will be exchanged, absorbed by sodium in the resin to remove calcium, magneseum and carbonate hardness.

This process involves exchanging calcium and magnesium ions in the hard water with sodium ions. The calcium, magnesium and carbonate are absorbed by sodium in the exchange tank to remove hardness.

A typical water softener consists of a tall, narrow water-softener tank and a short, wide brine tank. The softener tank is connected to the home's water-supply line and a small-diameter fill tube connects the brine tank to the softener tank. A discharge hose runs from the softener tank to a nearby drainpipe or drywell.
